Very fine ring -- sizing question.... April 24, 2008

This is an outstanding ring. Overall I'm very pleased with it, and after the seller shipped it, it arrived VERY quickly from the opposite coast. The ring I received has a slightly less "antiqued" look to it (shinier) than the one displayed, but I really like the look regardless.
The only thing I wish I'd thought a bit more about when I ordered is sizing. I had my finger sized locally 2 days before I ordered this ring, and I came out as a 10-10.5. Thus, I ordered the 10 here. However, this ring is slightly on the large side -- not so big that it flops around or slides off (you'd have to pull on it for that), but it is generously sized and very comfortable. I think in their sizing, a 9 might have been too small. I wish they had a 9.5. I'll probably keep this more for summer-swollen-fingers wear, but it's definitely wearable otherwise -- just a tad loose.
The sizing discrepancy may have been at the hand of the local jeweler -- I don't know. I'd just get your finger sized a couple of places to be sure before ordering. It's still a 5-star ring with 5-star service; thus, it gets -- SURPRISE! -- 5 stars from me.
