Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Product Description
This sporty Croton timepiece features a two-tone dial with white indexes, a magnified date display at three o'clock, and a unidirectional blue bezel for easy timekeeping. The flexible and polished stainless steel band fits securely to the wrist with its fold-over clasp with safety. Japanese automatic movement ensures precision and a water-resistant depth of 100 feet means you never have to worry when you head for the beach. An automatic watch is a mechanical watch that is self-winding. The movement of your wrist and body causes the rotor--a weight attached to an automatic winding mechanism--to wind up the watch. This automatic watch has 21 jewels, which are synthetic ruby stones that the gears turn on to protect the metal parts from grinding together. An automatic watch needs no battery, but it will stop if not worn for over a day (30+ hours) or if you have been physically inactive for an extended period of time. For the times when your automatic watch is not on your wrist, the elegantly-designed watch rotator will provide the movement needed to keep it accurate. A perfect pairing to your automatic watch, this rotator also works as a display case.

4 out of 5 stars Elegant looking   October 7, 2008
The watch is very elegant looking. It is also a very low price. The shipping is free. I can't believe I bought this kind of watch for less than a hundred bucks. I really liked it but was gone (stolen) on my way to the Philippines.

1 out of 5 stars Looks good but does not keep time   October 6, 2008
Looks good and the self-winder works. However the watch seems to go faster by 2 minutes each day... I believe $5 watch would keep better time.

3 out of 5 stars Solid for $89.99 (not $600)   October 6, 2008
I purchased this watch about a month ago. I'd read about Croton on-line prior to purchase. I don't think this is the same quality watch that they made even 20 years ago, but for what I paid, I'm satisfied. It looks great. It keeps accurate time (when worn frequently or kept in auto-winder). My only real complaint is that the luminescent orb on the bezel fell out within 1 hour of putting on the watch. Worth $90, but not $600.

1 out of 5 stars WORST WATCH EVER   September 18, 2008

Boy was I impressed with this watch when I first got it, it looked fantastic and came with a fancy "leatherish" watch case. I was given so many compliments about it and was thrilled I got such an attractive watch at a low price.

After awhile, like others have said, the watch would "accelerate" time and I would not have an accurate idea of what time it was. It took me a month to notice this because the watch kept running out of juice because it is powered by movement and I would have to reset the time.

I kind of put up with all these annoyances until parts of the watch started falling off, such as the "0" marker on the cronograph and how the cronograph stopped spinning. That's when I gave up hope and decided to purchase a name brand.

Stay away from this thing, it looks great, but over time you will learn to hate it. It's so bad I would feel guilty giving it to someone, because I know they will be slowly tortured by it.

1 out of 5 stars not a winner   September 15, 2008
this watch is not something that i thought i was getting. the workmanship and polish is substandard in my opinion. it is too bulky and does not have a upscale look. i cannot believe that it ever sold for more than $69.00
